Genre Research:-
We
decided between the three of us (Tiffany Pickford, Maisie Hesketh and myself)
that we wanted to create a happy video but to a sad song in order to create a
juxtaposition. In thinking of artists with 'sad' sounding songs we came up with
a lot of songs from similar genres.
These
were the genres that occured the most as we felt generally they created more songs with the tone we were looking for;
Rock:-
A form of popular music that evolved from rock and roll and pop music during the mid and late 1960s.

Indie Rock:-
Indie rock orignially refers to music made by bands that were without a label, or signed to independent (indie) record labels. Today indie rock is usually lumped together with all of "alternative rock," even if the music is produced by a major record label.

Other
artists of the same genre include... 30 Seconds to Mars, Biffy Clyro, The

The Task:-
For our A2 Media Studies Coursework, we were given the task of creating a music video for a song that had already been produced along with the full digipack and a magazine advert for the new video.
Together, this would creat 50% of our A2 grade as the music video is worth 40 marks, the digipack and album cover 10 marks and the magazine advert 10 marks again.
